when my class starts to win almost every competition in school, my other schoolmates will, its a normal reaction, get jealous when my class name is announced and our monitor is called out to collect our prize on behalf of us. well, its very normal for other class people to feel a little envious. well, let me tell you a story. after racial harmony, Aloysius, a boy from 6E, was feeling a little more than jealous of my class. he thought of bad words, and i really mean bad as in describes bad people, to describe my class. he thought of ADULTERY, ATROCIOUS and many more and told his teacher, Mr ho, about it. when Mr ho finished listening to the words, he laughed and said, " Aloysius, let me remind you of something. your name, Aloysius, also starts with A. " and Aloysius just had to keep quiet. MUAHAHA. miss yeong, my form teacher told us this story and my whole class burst into laughter. he's a very, very notorious boy. he needs serious councelling about his big mouth, always annoying people. even our class clown finds him annoying. ahh! this reminds me of another story. care to share?...
one fine day when Mr ho was absent from school, his class was split into groups and unfortunately, Aloysius had to come to my class which was a really really bad thing. anyway, miss yeong knew he was annoying and chatty so she made him sit beside a also very irritating, annoying and chatty, jerrold. jerrold almost died as he hated Aloysius as much as we did. Aloysius kept talking crap and singing songs that could make the glass window panes shatter. jerlene sits behind jerrold and told jerrold this, i think, very nice statement which is rather true, " jerrold, after meeting Aloysius, i now that you're not the most irritating, annoying boy there is." after which jerlene grinned and told miss yeong. the whole class heard it and laughed, not caring about how Aloysius felt. i know we sound mean but its the truth. no matter who scolds him, he doesn't care cause i think his skin is as thick as an elephants or as thick as a camel's foot. hmmph! if he feels jealous of my class, the only piece of advice we can give him is to work hard and motivate his class to put in more effort in the things they do as a class. no offence, but i think its MISSION IMPOSSIBLE!

today was the end of my school's arts festival and also racial harmony day.
i went to school specially early this morning and went straight to class to pass rebecca the traditional costume i brought for her. satpreet brought some extra traditional costumes and miss yeong made me wear one JUST when i was backing away with foong hui...!!! foong hui did not have to wear it because she couldn't fit into it. sad... my costume was blue. most of my class girls wore traditional costumes as we had many extra suits. only 2 boys in my class wore traditional costumes and they are haziq and hakeem. you may think my class is mad to want to wear traditional costumes but its just for the fun of it. when everyone's wearing it, it becomes less embarrassing and more fun.
we commemorated racial harmony by singing some national songs and playing games. at the same time, we also marked the end of the arts festival. my school held a FUHUA IDOL competition a few weeks back and a few finalists sang on stage to us and our teachers voted. well, some of the have good vocals and some just went out of tune once they started to song. no offence ok... the FUHUA IDOL is a girl who sang the some titled UMBRELLA by RIHANNA. i didn't expect her to win but the teachers did.
two games were held and for both games, my classmates took part in each. for the hula hoop game where the contestants had to roll it without dropping to the finish line, jun jie took part in it and won. for the traditional game chapteh, my class soccer boy, haziq, took part and won again. for the SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH MOVEMENT competition, my class Jia Hui took part and won too! for art competitions, li en, daniel, hui li and melissa won too! this year, it looks like my class is winning everything there is. cool! the celebration ended with a fusion dance put up by the dancers of my school. they're all juniors. the seniors didn't dance.
i'm glad my class is now very united as we cheer really really loud when another of our classmates goes on stage to play a game or to receive a prize =P

i slept late last night cause of some reason i can't really remember and that was partially why i woke up super late this morning.
i woke up only to see my grandma shaking me asking " hey! don't you have to go to school today?!" i asked her what time it was and it was already 7.30am. at that time, i would probably be in school singing the national anthem. i bolted to the toilet to wash up and woke my sis up.
i skipped breakfast[yay!] and went straight to school. when i walked through the big gate, the guard just smiled his usual grin and waved. when i was about to walk up the stairs to my classroom on the sith story, mrs zakria asked me " are you from 6a?" i told her i was and her said that miss yeong, my form teacher, was absent and i was to take a lift to my class and ask my classmates which class i would be going to for the day. cool! i didn't have to take the stairs!! booyah!
when i reached class, jun jie aka bulldog shouted " waa!! gailmon why you come so late?!" i just grinned and walked to my seat which was occupied by khoon hwee.. i took his seat instead which was next to may's seat. kelly came running " how come you so late? i thought you sick never come lor!! we going to 6e lehh" and fh said " yeah! Mr Ho's class!!! " i was shocked to hear that we would be going to Mr ho's class.. i wanted to faint.. my class couldn't be controlled by our monitor and assistant monitor and the prefects didn't give a damn about it.[chuckle] the group leaders were buzzing around, giving out work to occupy us through out the day. we were supposed to make yoghurt during science lesson to learn about fermentation of some food, we brought milk and didn't know what to do with it. 6D's kind form teacher madam yu brought us to the science roon which had a firdge which we then deposited out milk in. we were so grateful to her if not we would have to drink all the milk up.
when we entered mr ho's class, he allowed us to sit at the back. there were extra chairs and tables. kelly, foong hui and i sat together. we did our math worksheets first and it was rather easy as it was for the EM3 students. we had to go for MT lessons after an hour and i finished my math worksheet in MT class cause it was rather boring. no offence anyway.. after MT lesson, i waited for kelly and foong hui to finish they're worksheet before starting on the ENG worksheet together. we discussed a little as some were a little harder than we expected.
during recess, we played a game called " mushroom " and the boys played with they're ball.. childish.. anyway, they're ball went over the fence which was separating Ivory Heights and the school. cyrus lee climbed over the fence to retrieve the ball. he threw it over before climbing back. he has made a double offence.
1. he left the school compound during school hours.
2. he has trespassed Ivory Heights. to make things worse, he does not even live there..
we were also supposed to do a one-page reflection on a puppet show which was performed for us yesterday during assembly. i couldn't think of anything to write. i also wrote a short paragraph, asking miss yeong to get well soon and have lots of rest. we dad our mindmap which was about biotechnology and telecommunications. as the 6e social studies teacher was absent today, we had to go to 6b.. we ended up going back to 6a empty classroom instead as 6b was overcrowding with other 6a pupils too. khoon hwee and some other boys from my class were sneaking out of the classroom to get answers from us since we had already finished all our work. they got caught by mrs zakria as she came to check on us. muahaha. serves them right anyway..
supp lesson was canceled as miss yeong was absent. i ate my lunch with kelly and then went home. today wasn't really what i expected it to be.

blueberry cheese cake before decorating

blueberry cheese cake after decoration!

i do not know which is clearer so i uploaded all

grandparents followed by grandchildrens!!

kissy face!!

last night, i went to celebrate my grandpa's birthday with my cousins, aunts and uncles. as i have many cousins, we have an "adults" table and a "childrens" table. the "childrens" table should have a different name. we are not kids any more. the youngest "kid" in my family is my age!
my mom, grandmother, my sis and i rushed to yishun as soon as my sis and i finished tuition at about 6pm. we took a train there. the place is called bottle tree park as there is a tree planted there which looks terribly like a bottle. it is a fish farm. many children were fishing in small ponds where there were many fishes. the fishes were like so many until you could just put your net in the water and scoop and will have at least 5 fishes in your net. can you imagine?!
when we arrived at the restaurant, all my cousins were there except jonathan which i have no idea why he did not turn up. anyway, my grandpa looked very happy that we were there i'm sure all of us felt happy too.
service there was really bad and we had to wait for almost 45mins for our food. the waitress told us 10 mins and in the end the first dish came 45mins later. i guess she just doesn't know how to read the clock.
the food did not taste disgusting nor fantastic. we did not find it very nice. there was one dish that cost $50 bucks and did not taste very nice at all. most of us did not even touch it.. it was a little bit disgusting. i couldn't believe my ears when i head one of my uncles saying the cost..
rachel jie, my cousin, and her boyfriend came late. when she finally came after her 5.2km charity run, she walked past us and headed straight to the "adults" table. i said" rachel jie don't want us liao" and the rest were like " yala! she go straight to the "adults" table and did not even say hi.." we decided to shout " rachel jie!! come over lehh!!" and make her come sit with us and we really did do that. she hesitated and finally took her plate and started walking over with her boyfriend. when she reached and almost sat down, we shouted " don't want you liao!!" and she pouted. HAHA! who asked her to go straight to the "adults" table..
in the end we told her we were just kidding and she sat down. there is a tradition where we always follow in the "childrens" table. it is that we cannot sit with our own siblings. it was created by us when we we childish and disliked our own siblings. now we get over it but the tradition still remains.
we planned to go catch a movie today. we decided on transformers but only 6 of us could make it.many funny things happened during dinner and we laughed until all the other people seated else where turned and looked at us but we still did not care. i will just mention one funny thing. shawn and joseph, my cousins, eat a certain type of vegetables named kang kong but the rest of us don't. well, rachel jie is known through out our family for eating almost everything you give her. meaning she likes to eat many things. as only 2 people were eating the kang kong at first, there was a lot left when rachel came. shawn said " rachel, you want kang kong?" and she said " ok. not too much." he picked some up with his chop sticks and put the vegetables on the plate. two seconds later he went " rachel, you like kang kong?" and without waiting for her reply, just put some on her plate. she looked at his with the " oh my god shawn you are so weird" expression. another 2 seconds passed and he went " rachel, you like kang kong?" and put, this time, a bunch of kang kong on her plate.
she stood up and went to the "adults" table to complain about shawn while laughing. asking someone from the other table to help her eat the vegetables. HAHA. when she was gone, we quickly replaced her small plate of kang kong with the whole big plate of kang kong. when he came back she went " shawn!!!" and we all laughed including the victim, rachel jie herself. actually, i have one more very funny part which i cannot post because of rachel jie sees it i will be so dead meat! including another person who i cannot mention. if anyone wants to know, ask me personally. thank you!
back to the story..
after dinner, all the cousins washed our hands and decorated the blueberry cheese cake we bought as a birthday cake for my grandfather with strawberry flavoured chocolate sprinkles. it looked pretty nice for a cake done by kids. my grandfather is 78 years old and the cake was overcrowded with candles. as usual, we sang the birthday song and took pictures and finally ate the delicious cake.
i took a train home too with my cousins joleen, fiona, frederick, my sis and my mom. we had so much fun in the train, laughing our heads off when my cousin saw an indian man scratching his private part and another took off his shoes.. how rude! fiona and frederick, siblings, got off at bukit batok. when we reached jurong east MRT station, we decided not to go home first and had a quick bite at McDonald's.
we then walked home, still chatting all the way. as joleen is my cousin and is also my neighbour, we usually go home together. i had to sleep early as i had to wake up early the next day in order to be on time for the show. fiona, frederick, ranie, joseph and i planned to watch it.
